On a scale of one to ten - better than Pierce Brosnan.
It's not the only change though, the script was much less retarded than the last three Bond movies so that helped a lot.

A good continuation of the series, and a nice change from all the gadgetry that has plagued the Pierce Brosnan movies. Although Craig may not have been a perfect Bond, he took the role well.

I enjoyed the film, thought the more 'Bourne' style of film worked.
I liked Daniel Craig, even with blond hair/blue eyes, he seemed
more like Fleming's version of Bond... ie basically a thug at heart,
and in this film Craig looks like he would kill someone if they got in
the way.
Also the other work Daniel Craig has done shows he can act.
As has been mentioned the script was a vast improvement over recent
films.
Connery has always been Bond to me, but if Craig can repeat the role
in the next few films, then maybe a new Top Bond will be announced.

Only a prequel remake if you are considering
David Niven being Bond in the Spoof Casino Royale.
Also always remember David Niven for the
'Name all the actors who have played James Bond' quiz question.

New Bond?
I agree, Peter Sellers has been the best James Bond. And Woody Allen the best Jimmy Bond. -.-
Jimmy Bond: You can't shoot me! I have a very low threshold of death. My doctor says I can't have bullets enter my body at any time.
Oh wait...
