I have been getting quite good at the Bastok San d'Oria run.

I can get to Mhaura by ship, but from there, well, I could use an escort and a guide to get me to Mea and to Windhurst.

Any takers? Still only RDM15/ WAR7, though nearing 16. I had trouble solo in some of hte bigger areas like Jugner, so i expect I could use a guide that i can /follow and someone to keep me alive just in case I run into something unpleasant. I am also worried I won;t have the maps necessary.

I can meet anywhere up to Mhaura (or however that is spelled).

I am taking my family to get the Dem crystal some time this week and am putzing around in some Bastok quests, but I have an "open" schedule otherwise, should be on most evenings for an hour or so, EST.

I totally would, but I'm stuck in Kazham until I hit 32 (hopefully sometime tonight or tomorrow)... *shudders*... So if you can wait until tomorrow I can take you. Do you have a map of the area? If so it's a pretty easy run, even at your lvl, just give the beasetmen a decent amount of room and they won't agg. I had to make that run a few times as a lvl 12-14 whm when I was going to the dunes. *laughs* I don't think my hp were over 100 at that point!

Tarutaru one hit wonder!

Oh, tomorrow or even later this week is fine.

Not sure if I have the map, hence the need for a guide :)

I have run thru the Dunes without dying at level 15, but I know some of the critters in the outer regions are NOT happy to see me.

Maybe I will give it a go by myself if I feel adventerous. I am in Bastok doing osme misc. quests, so, not in any hurry.

remember I play slow :)

Me too, except for recently when I've been busting it trying to get out of the jungle... so much death! I had parties yesterday that couldn't hold the hate at all. Died 6 time and wasted about 3 hours. *sigh* on the bright side I hooked up with a rocking party that had a good palidin and was able to make it all back and lvled twice.

Send me a /befriend Pixistix (my handle will show up as just Pixi) and we can figure out logistics :).

No, been exploring Bastok, found a mine in North Gustaberg that has been holding my interest, looks like it could get real tough deeper in, so I might get the in-laws together, lead em to the Dem crag, and then into the mine for some good old fashioned Qadav killing :)

I have a dinner meeting tonight where beer will be involved, so I might be on later, we'll see how I feel then.

Thanks for remembering though :)

I took the chance. The Penninsula after Mhaura was tough, almost didnt make it, but now i have the Mea crystal, so I can skip that part from now on :)

Thanks for the offer though :)

Yeah, it was a tense run.

I did it again with Gondolin last night so he could get Mea, knuckle biting trip.

I DO like the area where Mea is, something about it is very cool. The Dhalmels remind me of the critters from Monster Hunter.

:D I like farming in the canyon. A) I'm a big fan of deserts and I like the way they've rendered it, B) elementals pop up when it's windy, and C) I giggle like a school girl watching Pixi tank Dhamels!!

I farm at the canyon sometimes, for mostly for the Elementals.
But if you wish to farm there, there are quite a few items that are worth farming.
  • Dhalmel Hide [500-800]
  • Giant Femur [500-800]
  • Beehive Chip (Stackable) [6k/stack]
  • Honey (Stackable) [2k/stack]
  • Silver Beastcoin (Stackable) [4-5k/stack]
  • Wind Cluster [2kish]
  • Earth Cluster [300-800]
Those are the items that I farm for. But remember you need to have your inventory expanded if you want to make a lot of money, some items take up one slot. While most of them will stack.

There is a total of 6 quest.
I have completed 5
but since they recently added this 6th one in
it requires 4 items, 2 of which are very very expensive
1 item cost around 300k the other i think around 150k,
as for the other 2 items, they are really cheap.
>< I don't have the funds to buy them..... yet :p
but I say its worth doing the 5 quests.

In total for the 5 of 6 quests you will spend... I say less than 200k
since expansion to europe boosted the population of the server, prices have generally risen. >< I wish it didn't it would be easier on you.

I've been noticing the inflation since the Eruo release. Yagodo bead necklaces are selling for 400-500 gil these days. *laughs* I've still been putting mine up for 200 (pre release price), but more often than not I get 400 for them. I find it interesting that so many people just bid at the going price. Enginerd me, I have a bidding scheme I use to buy from the AH to try to find the lowest priced item up for bid :p .
