Since many of us here have pre-ordered the CE I'm sure some of you will be excited to see an unboxing vid of it as today's friday update.

16:28 @Mechanus • Just something to make you wish time would amazingly collapse upon itself so that it would be December already
16:28 @Mechanus • :D
16:30 @SSX-MS • Very nice indeed!. Glad I went with that edition too ^^
16:32 @Mechanus • Aye
16:32 @Mechanus • Lots of good stuff
16:35 @SSX-MS • I hope all of the CE steelbook cases have the sweet looking Sith logo on them and aren't random. I don't want to find a Republic emblem on mine :p
16:35 @Mechanus • hehehe

Glad I preordered mine a long time ago.

They increased the CE price, but my order is still locked at the estimated prices back in august last year.

Must admit, I went with the standard edition.
I couldn't justify the price at the time as I was hopeful that a lifetime subscription may have been on offer.

Aye, always pays to pre-order stuff like this early. Mech and I saved around $90 between us from pre-ordering a recent boxset release as soon as they went up (Pink Floyd) as they went up in price soon after too.

And ash, I was kinda hoping there would be a lifetime subscription available too but thinking about it I'd say that the lack of one is a positive thing. In the long run BioWare would lose a lot of money by offering these for a start. When I see lifetime subs available I often get the impression that they have a lack of confidence in their product and that they're worried it won't do as well as they'd hoped. I'd take it as a good sign that BioWare have not announced anything like this, I think I'd probably be a little worried if they did tbh. :)
I'll be going for the 6month sub right off the bat.

to be honest the only thing in the Collectors edition that I was really interested in was the soundtrack.

If anyone changes their mind before launch and decides to upgrade to a CE it seems easy enough to do btw, providing there are still some available in your area at the time ofc.
Saw this post on the official boards just now:
Yes, you can upgrade your order by canceling the current one and then purchasing a pre-order for the Collector's Edition.

Fortunately, you will not need to change your pre-order code as any code applied to your account will grant you Early Game Access and a Color Crystal. We can confirm that there is no need to amend the code attached to your account.

Please do not be concerned if when going into the ‘My Account’ section the edition listed there is incorrect or different. When you receive your product code at launch and apply this to your account, this will then grant you all relevant in-game items that are associated with the version that you have purchased.
