My 9yo boy loves Minecraft, and he was lacking homework this past half-term (he has to complete homework each day to earn computer time) so I challenged him to write a beginner's guide to Minecraft.

So he came up with this. It's entirely his own work and he's very proud of it - so much so he wanted me to show it to you lot :thumb:

...This is actually pretty amazing coming from one so young, particularly the detail into which it delves. I would certainly not expect a 9 year old to be able to tell or write me anything detailed enough to be including stuff such as spawn location and drop information about any game - clearly I've been underestimating!

Well done Manny! Must have earned him computer time and then some! Great job :thumb:

Forever an eXile and proud of it!

Very impressive ^^. I've never played Minecraft before but that's surprisingly detailed. Great job! :thumb:
I actually got into the SimCity games when I was maybe a year or so older than Manny, I should probably give Minecraft a go at some point as I'd probably enjoy it from a building perspective. Seen some amazing accomplishments in that game.

Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Fantastic read. Would read again. Having played way too much Minecraft in my time, his guide is quite informative to new players and his pictures that accompany the details is very well done.
