Here are my newest editions to my studio/music collection. The Schecter was picked up today, the Yamaha was from my birthday back in November:

The pictures on the retail sites never do the colours of the guitars justice. The reds on both guitars are really vivid and bright and I don't know if I'm alone in this but I love the shape of Schecter headstocks.
Thanks for sharing the pics bro

Nice!

Not particularly musical myself, but can definately appreciate a couple of very cool looking guitars :)

Reminds me of Brutal Legend.....

Forever an eXile and proud of it!

Couple of sweet additions to your collection there, Mech!. Ava makes a good point about pictures. Unless you get a really decent photo with near perfect lighting when you see some of the pics on shop websites they can often look too dull/bright than they actually are irl and can be a bit misleading cos of it. The colour of your new Schecter looks gorgeous though, like the fret inlays too ;)

What other guitars have you got in your collection btw? I know you play a lot of instruments :D
Let me think... I have a classical guitar which I got when I was around 8yrs old when I took classical guitar lessons for a few years. A while after I (stupidly) quit those I got a Squire strat as my first electric and tried to carry on by myself. Next was an Epiphone Les Paul which I've had around 8-9 years and then 5 years ago I got a black Takamine (EG531SC) acoustic. - Should have really kept up with the guitar lessons as I had been learning how to read music as well rather than just tabs like I do now. Have played mostly casually in the past (other than when I went to lessons when I practiced for hours each day) but I've been giving it much more time again recently so maybe one day I'll be able to play like David Gilmour, afterall it's mostly about patience and practice heh.

This is the Les Paul I mentioned, have been playing this every other day :)

If all goes well I'll be getting a new guitar either at the end of this month or the beginning of next. Will post some pics when I get it :D

Besides the Schecter and the Yamaha, I also have a Jackson PS series guitar and a Korg M50 88-key workstation. I'll get a pic of the Jackson up soon.

Well, will be posting a pic of the new guitar a little later than I had originally planned but it's all good!
Was going to get it next week from a local Fender dealer but Fender have a 2012 line coming out in May which explains why some shops have very limited supply of the model I wanted. Sooo a deposit has been put down on one of those instead. Will have to wait longer for it now ofc but I'll be one of the first people to get my hands on one, like, just 20 or so MN Sienna units in Europe for the first batch which alone is very exciting :D
So yeah, piccies of that coming in May ^^

I'll get around to taking a pic of the Takamine in the meantime :)

- Just to note. Those aren't scuff marks near the bottom. Was scared for a minute after uploading the pic but it's just the light haha
I'm one of the very first people in the UK to own one of these. Tis a thing of beauty! ;D

(Will probably post a pic of Ava's acoustic over the weekend too)

Very nice, MS. I'm not a fan of Fender, personally, but that is a beautiful guitar. :thumb:

Don't let David Gilmour hear you say that! :p
and ty, ty!. I'd say the sienna sunburst, depending on the wood grain (this one is a beauty) is one of the nicest looking guitar finishes I've seen tbh and not just including Fender. Extremely happy with it.

How many strings are we talking here? :)

Ty!. As it says on the headstock, it's a Gibson Les Paul Custom (in Ebony), otherwise known as the Black Beauty.
When I went to get my Epiphone Les Paul (pic above as well) some 11 years ago for my Birthday one year I instantly clapped eyes on the Gibson Custom, sat all the way at the back of the store looking as beautiful as ever. The best in the shop by far and not one, but *the* nicest guitar I had ever seen. I was there with my Mum & Dad at the time and we all agreed. Since then it has always been my "dream guitar". I love my Fender strat and have been playing it every other day since I got it and grain/colour wise that is still one of the nicest I've seen as I said at the time, but as guitars go it has always been the Gibson which sat at the top for me and has done ever since.
I got it with some of the money my Dad left. Part of me feels kinda sad thinking about it, since it's still so raw atm and if he was still here I wouldn't have it. But it's something I should have for the rest of my life if I take good care of it, something to remember him by and which brings back happy memories of seeing it in the guitar store all those years ago :)

I'm just getting a bit paranoid with it atm as it's worth a fortune and I don't want to damage it lol

Keys rather than strings I'm guessing? or are you on about something else entirely? lol :)
I wouldn't mind learning some other instruments one day. The keyboard/piano would definitely be one of those.

That Gibson is a real beauty. Gibson has always made quality guitars and that Les Paul shows it. If I ever get around to picking up a Gibson it will be an SG series as I love the tone and look.

Very jealous of your new purchase. :thumb:

I always think of AC/DC when I look at the SG's :D

I just saw this one over on the Gibson site:

Black Beauty meets SG. Very nice indeed ^^

Just need to get myself a new guitar stand sorted now (though I know some people cover parts of theirs with cotton stuff). Never had to worry about nitrocellulose finishes before but after hearing some horror stories and seeing pics of damaged guitars where the stands have eaten away at the finish... been stressing a bit haha. Leaning towards getting one of these though and hoping I'll be ok.
